PyRowMan c5249c9de9 Fix conditional check for release object in API controller 
Previously, the condition did not account for cases where `$rel` could be null, potentially causing an error. This update ensures the check validates that `$rel` exists before calling the `isNotEmpty()` method.

Shift 66c246852c Leverage injected request object 
Laravel automatically injects the current Http [request object][1] to all Controller actions and Middleware. Leveraging this object improves consistency and testability.
